IIAR Cafe with David Rossiter and Ovum

There are lots of rumours on what is going on at Ovum. David Rossiter, Sunesis Global AR (LinkedIn, @davidrossiter), will be hosting an IIAR Cafe with the MD and Chief Research Officer, providing you with the perfect opportunity to come meet with and learn what is really going on.

IIAR Café with Ovum – Aneil Rakity, managing director(LinkedIN)and Tim Jennings, chief research officer, (LinkedIN, @tjennings). They’ll be sharing the truth about what’s happening at Ovum and putting to bed some of the rumours that have been flying around about the company for the past couple of years, including the future of the brand. The presentation and open Q&A session will include updates on Ovum’s strategy, market positioning, target markets and competitive differentiators as well as the latest on its research organisation and research agenda. They’ll also be talking about how Ovum fits within Informa, the big investments taking place in product development, its expansion into the US market and the continuing convergence between Ovum’s service provider and technology teams.

3rd German Chapter Stammtisch in Munich

It’s been a lively dMunich city center, Germanyiscussion. The third German chapter IIAR Stammtisch end of October, in Munich gathered AR professionals and analysts speaking about the strategic role that analyst relations play in companies of different sizes and countries.

In a group of 9 we kicked off the AR discussion with an intro round at 7pm and didn’t stop until we realised it has gotten late. As a topic we had chosen “how is AR for medium-sized companies different to AR for large companies” and while it is clear that smaller companies can learn from the big players, we raised the questions, whether there is anything to learn as well the other way around. First German IIAR Stammtisch kicks off

The first German IIAR Stammtisch will kick off on Tuesday, 24th June, at 5pm CET at Cordobar, located in the famous Glockenback district of downtown Munich on, at Ickstattstraße 1a.

IIAR members – be among the first to meet the management team of new Ovum

Ovum logoAt 17:00 on the 26th June, the UK arm of the IIAR is meeting with Steve Hotham CEO of the newly merged Ovum / ITM Research company (which is branded Ovum), along with Martin Hill, MD of Ovum’s Telecoms Research and Consulting, and Ian Charlesworth, MD of Ovum’s IT Research and Consulting.

They will be presenting the new Ovum organisation and its new product range and capabilities as well as explaining the many changes that have taken place as a result of the merger, which was announced in April. Continue Reading →

What’s going on next week at Gartner Symposium?

After over 12 years in Cannes, the Gartner Symposium is moving to Barcelona. The events team told me that they were going to move it in 2012 anyway, but had to do it one year earlier because of the G20 (you know, that meeting that’s turned into a Greek tragedy). Anyhow, is there anyone here who remembers when it all started? I’ve been to about 12 and lost the count…
