IIAR> launches a North American Chapter

IIAR> Announces the North American Chapter

The IIAR> is proud to announce the relaunch of our North American Chapter to enable greater value for members who are located in the US, Canada and Mexico, and to expand professional networks for all our global members.  Half of the IIAR> board and members are located in the US, so the NA Chapter will be able to focus on AR professionals in North America, which will create a bridge to our flagship UK Chapter, expanding their networking opportunities as well.

“I’m delighted to welcome the new IIAR> North American Chapter, led by four seasoned and respected AR professionals -offering our members in this geography a personal touch and local events”.

Ludovic Leforestier / IIAR> Board Member (@lludovicLinkedIn).

In the first year, the IIAR> North America Chapter will be focused on building a sustainable foundation for growth by providing the community with regular opportunities for networking and best-practice sharing with their NA-based colleagues.

The new IIAR> North American Chapter is composed of four chapter co-leads.

“The IIAR> can provide a lot of value to AR practitioners, especially new practitioners just starting out — many coming from different backgrounds and perspectives. I look forward to working with my Chapter co-leads to provide a bridge and create useful and meaningful content for members.”
–Susan Peters / Director, Analyst Relations at SUSE LLC (LinkedIn).

“Networking with fellow analyst relations professionals can be difficult, even at the best of times. The IIAR> and our NA chapter represents an opportunity to make that process easier, and more importantly, meaningful.”
–Nathan Herrman / AR Manager, Cradlepoint, part of Ericsson (LinkedIn)

“The analyst landscape is forever changing and AR professionals need to remain nimble to keep the pace within their respective markets. Having a group of professionals that shares information with one another enables each of us to excel in our roles. This, in turn, up-levels the reputation of AR pros as skilled practitioners. What could be better than that?”
–Rachel Kaltenbach / Director, Global Analyst Relations, Veeam (LinkedIn)

“It’s important to me to make sure I can not only keep up with the rigors of analyst relations, but do it with the help and great conversations with colleagues. Building relationships and learning is a big part of an analyst relations career. I want to ensure I not only do that with my top analysts but also with fellow practitioners.”
–Christopher Manfredi / Global Analyst Relations Director, Sprout Social (LinkedIn)

Our Chapter Co-Leads are all volunteers, whose goal is to engage with the NA membership to work together for a better IIAR>. Members can connect with them at meetups and let them know what they want to discuss. Chapter Co-Lead Chris Manfredi urges members to “feel free to reach out to the NA Chapter leads for just about anything, regardless if you are affiliated with IIAR> or not. Whether on the job hunt, looking for a best practice, or wanting to join a webinar, the NA Chapter is here to serve the analyst relations community. Consider joining the IIAR> for its content and deeper connections as the additional help along the way.”

To kick things off, the NA Chapter will be rolling out various events, from quarterly virtual discussion groups to in-person meetups in key locations around the US. The launch event will be a virtual meetup scheduled for the 6th June, aiming to introduce AR professionals to the unique benefits of IIAR> membership.

This will be a one time opportunity for non-members to join an IIAR> event and see what we offer before becoming a member – not to be missed!
