
Reporting to the Vice-President of Solution Marketing, the Analyst Relations Director role facilitates two-way dialogue between BlackBerry and industry analysts. Focusing largely to increase awareness for the company and our products and services, while delivering key analyst insights to our internal teams. An ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing an AR team and creating and executing an AR program strategy and building collaborative relationships with influential analysts, executive spokespeople, product strategy and marketing leaders.
Role Responsibilities
- Directing Analyst Relations managers
- Build and maintain close relationships with the key industry analysts worldwide (primarily NA, EMEA)
- Communicate with key analysts on a regular basis, including sharing significant company announcements and initiatives
- Collaborate with product teams to prioritize analyst outreach and to deliver compelling content
- Schedule, facilitate and report on analyst briefings and inquiry engagements
- Develop and monitor analyst research calendars to identify areas of potential coverage
- Respond to analyst requests for information and coordinate an impactful response working in conjunction with subject matter experts
- Share analyst research and comments with key internal business leaders
- Secure positive analysts for press support and press release quotes
- Manage analyst engagements at conferences and other trade events (CES, RSA, Gartner events, etc.)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a BS/BA or 8 years with a MS/MA in the software/tech industry and related industry analyst experience with a successful track record in building corporate programs and creating and delivering effective communications
- 4 years of management experience with 2 years as a senior manager/director
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence, including a proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external executive relationships
- Knowledge of major analyst firm business models, processes and online resources (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.)
- Comfortable with technology concepts and general knowledge of the Enterprise
- Experience collaborating across multiple internal departments and geographies and working with remote colleagues and stakeholders
- Self-motivated team player with a demonstrated ability to deliver results
