PTC’s Corporate Communications team is looking for a new leader for its Analyst Relations program. This individual will assume day-to-day responsibility for PTC’s Analyst Relations program, chiefly responsible for facilitating the two-way exchange between PTC and industry analyst firms like Gartner, Forrester, and IDC.

At PTC, the nuts-and-bolts of an Analyst Relations program are very much expected, from regularly scheduled briefings and inquiries to submissions for impactful reports like Magic Quadrants and Waves. But at PTC, our expectations for leading the Analyst Relations program extend far beyond the basics. We first prioritize our approach to this work, and we need someone who naturally embodies the three elements that are paramount to the program: genuine relationships, curiosity, and narrative and content.
This individual needs to be a master at establishing and building genuine relationships – both external with the analyst community and internal with the many PTC executives and teammates that will be supporting analyst-related activities. A steadfast commitment to these relationships must serve as the foundation of this role for this individual to be successful.
Complementing this focus on relationships needs to be a natural curiosity that underscores all of this individual’s work. This curiosity needs to span PTC and its businesses, the markets that the company is addressing, and the priorities of the analyst community. What stories does PTC need to be telling and how do these measure up against what the industry analysts view as important to the market?
Speaking of stories, in order to get the most out of these relationships and this curiosity, this individual needs to be an excellent storyteller. Every day, there will be a need to pick up on or craft a narrative that needs to be shared with the analyst community. These narratives could range from PTC’s Industrial IoT edge strategy to the company’s SaaS-focused future. Not only does this individual need to drive these narratives, they need to be capable of creating the right content to deliver them. Content creation and management is critical in this role – from the tone of an everyday email and the depth of a calendar invite to the technical review of a report or the creation of a slide for a presentation.
If you are someone who prides themselves on these attributes, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:• Developing a comprehensive understanding of PTC’s corporate priorities, business units, market strategies, and product portfolio• Building and maintaining strong, consistent relationships with the industry analysts most relevant to PTC’s success• Leading all proactive and reactive engagement with industry analysts, including sharing PTC news and addressing briefing requests• Facilitating all industry analyst briefings, inquiries, and other engagements• Staying up to date on analyst focus areas and research agendas, to better position PTC for coverage opportunities• Managing analyst engagement and agendas at PTC events and relevant industry events• Working with the Senior Director of Corporate Communications to modernize the Analyst Relations program’s KPIs and measurement processes
Qualifications:• 3-5 years of supporting or managing an industry analyst relations program or a corporate communications program• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills• Notable interpersonal skills, with a demonstrable history of forming strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders• Proven ability to earn the trust, respect, and attention of senior executives, including C-suite leadership• A self-starting, proactive approach that accomplishes things, sometimes, by nothing other than sheer force of will• An established comfort with being in the spotlight and being the lead voice in meetings, during presentations, at events, etc.• Experience in the industrial or enterprise technology space is preferred but not required
