IDC Government Insights EMEA is seeking a Research Manager to provide insightful guidance, analysis, and consulting on the public sector industry in Europe.
The successful candidate will focus on local, regional and global based projects. The role will include research and analysis of the public sector market, business development, carrying out presentations and workshops, preparation of project proposals and fulfillment.
The primary responsibility of the analyst will be to conduct research, produce written reports to support subscription services and in support of custom research projects. These activities involve primary and secondary research as well as analysis of survey results. The analyst will also be responsible for supporting IT spending market sizing and forecasts in public sector. Other responsibilities include responding to client inquiries and providing support for sales and marketing. In this respect, the analyst will play an important role in interacting with clients across EMEA to retain and expand existing business and with prospects to support development of new business.
The position calls for a highly motivated individual with exceptional writing, presentation, and client interaction skills. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years working as a research analyst covering information technology adopted in the public sector. Practical work experience in the public sector is a plus. Some travel will be required.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and be fluent in written and oral English. Fluency in a second European language is an advantage.
