By joining the IIAR, you’ll become part of a growing community that speaks with a strong voice on behalf of AR professionals across the industry.

As a member, you will be able to participate in all IIAR events at no extra cost. These include bi-monthly Forums with guest analyst speakers; best practice and industry event teleconferences and discussion group calls where you can share AR best practice experiences and ideas with your peers. Also, there is a programme of in-person and phone/webinar-based training and workshop events on broader ‘influencer relations’ themes, such as working with consultants and third-party advisors, and using social media.

You’ll gain access to the IIAR’s growing library of best practice white papers, which include topics such as Managing the Gartner Magic Quadrant, Managing the Forrester Wave, Best Practices in Escalating Research Disagreements, and AR Measurement and Evaluation.

In 2009, the IIAR launched its certification examination, the first independently administered test for AR professionals. All members can take the certification test free of charge, while the cost to non-member is £200. In 2010 the IIAR launched an Advanced Certification programme, which will recognise the skills and knowledge of AR professionals with four or more years of experience.

In 2010, the IIAR will also be introducing a new AR tools database, with templates for standard AR processes, such as NDA forms, analyst presentations, and spokesperson briefing documents.
